BALANCE AND TRUST

Membership Benefits

Current members will confirm that membership in the National Society of Home Inspectors, Inc. (NSHI) includes valuable benefits for any home inspection business. For a low annual membership fee of just $199, you will receive all of the products and services listed below. You pay nothing additional to receive them, just the membership fee.

NSHI Find Inspector Referral Service
The home inspection business is driven by referrals, so NSHI offers a free Find Inspector service for members. When a potential client requests an inspector for a certain location, NSHI matches the geographic location with its member database, allowing the client to find a NSHI inspector in his or her area. A special page allows the client to either email the NSHI inspector, call, or visit the inspector's website, depending on the member's contact preferences.

NSHI Member Website
NSHI members receive an easy-to-use website control panel where members can create their free website hosted on NSHI's server. Quickly and easily list your business online, highlighting your professional membership. Use your custom webpage to promote your business and serve as a resource for existing customers. Other companies charge hundreds of dollars per year for similar services, but NSHI members receive this service free of charge.

Continuing Education Hours
NSHI provides a free 6-hour continuing education course each year for members. These online courses, developed by special arrangement with Professional Home Inspection Institute (PHII), assist you with professional development, meet the NSHI membership requirements, and add to your credentials. In some states, this continuing education course even meets the requirements to renew your home inspection license.

NSHI Spotlight!

Members can submit news articles, personal experiences, tips, and questions. One of the goals of the society is to promote high quality home inspection services throughout the United States and Canada. The NSHI Spotlight! is a reliable source of information and a great platform for sharing knowledge and information with other home inspectors. The NSHI Spotlight! includes:
